Thanks to Marco Collins and crew for picking "What's So Bad?" as one of the 'Best New Tracks Of The Week: 12/11/12' and giving us a spin on this Seattle based digital radio station Jet City Stream. Marco Collins was instrumental in break ing artists such as Nirvana, Beck, Weezer, the Presidents of the USA, Foo Fighters, Garbage and Harvey Danger...so, us Seattle folk are very honored to be selected by a true Seattle tastemaker/legend. http://www.jetcitystream.com/2012/12/11/best-new-tracks-of-the-week-121112/Your text to link...

Metro mentioned us as a CMJ band to watch. "Let's call these guys The Strokes 2.0. Dressed in slick skinny-tie suits, these Seattle transplants peddle pure melodic rock, with catchy hooks that recall the best moments of The Killers and the fuzzy vocals that remind us of a more cheerful Julian Casablancas. With their videos getting top-ratings on MTV.com, soon everyone will have some Motive of their own." http://www.metro.us/newyork/entertainment/article/1154582--cmj-going-the-distance

Here's a link to our recent article in Brooklyn Spectator...pick up a copy for the full spread. http://brooklynspectator.com/2012/08/motive-to-rock/ "With that old-fashioned sound and what one musical reviewer calls “a crisp new twist,” the band has seen its music skyrocket from “cold garages” and personal amps to New York City stages and radio airtime."

http://bit.ly/NOYERp Twelv and Jean Paul Gaultier joined forces on A Woman is a Gentleman, a fashion short referencing 'transformation', the theme of Twelv's issue 002. Editor in Chief Hissa Igarashi directs this lascivious visual sonnet shot by cinematographer Maria Cabra. IMG's next it girl, Marine Hein, transforms from the sweet ingénue she is to please everyone to the passionate femme fatale to please herself. Decked out in Jean Paul Gaultier CLASSIQUE Eau de Parfume, lingerie, shoes and trench coat, Lacrasia Gloves, a fedora by What Goes Around Comes Around and an alluring red lip, the Brazilian model ventures out to experience the New York City night. Brooklyn's garage-pop quartet Motive adds to the sultry mise-en-scène with a cover of the new wave classic "Psycho Killer" by Talking Heads. These four former jazz musicians united in New York to play their fuzzy, yet refined rock and roll. TWELV's FW 2012 issues features the band suited up with some leggy lasses for a ramshackle-chic fashion spread.
